Do I need yoga experience to participate?
Mountain Pose Symposium is designed with both presentations and practice sessions, which will include movement. Absolutely no yoga experience is necessary, although comfortable clothing is highly recommended. Sessions will move quickly between lectures and yoga sessions, and yoga/exercise attire is appropriate for the entire event. Can I present or teach?
We do have our 2013 lineup completed, but are already fielding requests for 2013. Please keep in mind that the Mountain Pose Symposium is designed specifically for medical providers. As such, we are limiting our lineup to teachers with a specific medical focus or expertise - ie. yoga for depression and anxiety; yoga for cancer treatment; etc. Our agenda strives to balance lectures for CME credit with yoga classes, with our first priority being the CME lecture component. If your classes can be tailored to specific medical issues, please feel free to email us to be added to the list of instructors and presenters to be considered, with a description of your proposed course(s) and also a price range for your teaching. Thanks for your interest. Can I volunteer?
Mountain Pose does not have specific volunteer opportunities available, but feel free to contact Wanderlust Festival. Their application is available at http://colorado.wanderlustfestival.com/connect/volunteerEmail ewoods@copperchamber.com to be added to the list of applicants. Please include your interests, yoga experience, and/or familiarity with Copper and Summit County.
