ZERO HERO Recycled Arts and Crafts
Arts-n-Crafts:
Origami classes: Using recycled magazines for the paper, kids (6 & up) will learn how to fold paper into butterflies and other fun shapes.
Solar S’mores: Great for all ages, kids will learn how we can use the sun for cooking food, powering homes, and heating water, while they bake their own S’mores in a solar oven.
Pine Cone Bird Feeders: Kids will have fun getting messy with this activity, as they create an all-natural birdfeeder to take home, made of pine cones, peanut butter, & sunflower seeds.
Paints and Chalk: Kids can express their own creativity with face paints and colored chalk. The ZeroHero crew will provide a chalkboard table and paper to paint on. Face paints, too!
Bubble-making: Using everything from large hula hoops to tiny rings, kids can make their own bubbles of all sizes. Everyone loves bubbles.
Games:
Bean bag toss: Using a ZeroHero waste station tent, kids need to sort labeled bean bags and decide which hole to throw towards – recycle, compost, or trash?
Washer toss: A Midwest favorite, this game will entertain kids and adults alike. Simply toss the washers into the hole from a variety of distances away. Not as easy as it looks!
Hula hoops: Again, activities for everyone to enjoy, not just kids, but parents, too. We added a twist by having kids use a hula hoop entwined with vines to lasso a large “carbon molecules” to illustrate how plants help absorb carbon dioxide before the escape to the atmosphere.
Educational Information:
Educational panels: Hand-made informational panels covering topics that include biodiesel, solar power, wind energy, recycling, composting, and global warming.
ZeroHero coloring book: Kids will keep busy coloring these images that have sustainable messages, educating them about recycling, composting, renewable energy, biodiesel & more.
Primp My Ride Parade (kids’ human powered parade)
Primp my Ride: Kid-powered parade. Decorate your bike, skateboard, roller skates, scooter, tricycle or pogo stick and cruise through the Village at Copper for this earth-friendly 4th of July parade, led by Giant Puppets. Recycled and re-used decorating supplies include newspapers for handlebar pom-poms, paper towel rolls to string behind the 'vehicle', egg cartons, recyclable ribbon, and of course, the more traditional pipe cleaners, string, and water-based paints. Feel free to bring your own eco-craft supplies, and make sure to bring your camera! Prizes will be awarded for artistic merit, technical merit, and best overall.
Conscious Carnival
Bubble Tower!!!
The Solar Powered Bubble Tower is self sufficient and requires no outside electricity. Being Solar Powered, with a battery backup, it is quiet, and peaceful with no noisy generator. Children of all ages are captivated by the endless variety of shapes, sizes, colors and movement of the bubbles. The SPBT produces clouds of 1000's of singular bubbles the size of ping pong balls, as well as bubble clusters as large as bushel baskets! The Bubble Tower marks a singular place at your festival or event where children and adults are free to be child like.

Music by: Justin Roberts"Some of the most inspired and intelligent kids lyrics ever." - Amazon.com
Like a scene from "Groundhog Day," the event repeats itself over and over. Bass and drums pound out the beat in perfect unison. Bodies spring to their feet and rush the stage; jumping, dancing and bouncing off each other like bumper cars. The concertgoers behave like children. Which is no surprise because they are children, participating in the kiddie mosh pit found at nearly every Justin Roberts concert.
Justin Roberts is truly one of the "all-stars" of the indie family music scene. He logs thousands of miles on the road each year, leading some to call him the hardest working man in children's show business. With national awards and recognition and a devoted fan base, Justin and his wonderfully named bandmates "The Not Ready for Naptime Players" dish out unexpectedly intelligent and whimsically rocking music for kids and their parents.
