The Village at Copper, Copper Mountain and the Copper Mountain Resort Chamber is striving to make 3 Ring Weekend as GREEN as possible.
We are working with Summit County Recycling and High Country Conservation to make this a Green event.
Please help us and do your part!
Please Bus, Bike, Walk or Jog to the event. Visit www.summitstage.com for a complete bus schedule.
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!
Events produce a lot of excess waste – half of which is from food packaging! Fortunately, Summit County has an extensive recycling program that serves the Copper Mountain. We will have bins for both RECYCLABLES and COMPOSTABLES. By carefully selecting your materials, you can help us reach our goal of hosting environmentally friendly events!
Bring your own Water Bottle! There will be a free Water Station at the event.
For more information on our efforts or for assistance in finding products or “greening” your life, please contact our partner in this effort, the High Country Conservation Center, at (970) 668-5703 or recycle@colorado.net

Where do I find these products?
Most products can be found at “regular” stores (like Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, grocery stores, etc.) and are available through food service distributors like Sysco. The trick is to shop for recyclability, specify what you want, and avoid non-recyclable products, like #3 or #6 plastics and Styrofoam. Remember – if it doesn’t say it’s made from recycled paper, it’s not! For specialty items (like tree-free papers and biodegradable plastic products), there are a few sources:
Locally, the Ecoasis in Breckenridge (547-0147), located next to 7-11 on County Road 450 has a large selection of biodegradable (compostable) materials and tree-free paper products.
