Yoga meets Youth at the second annual Wanderlust Colorado
Wanderlust is a one-of-a-kind festival bringing together the world's leading yoga teachers, top musical acts and DJs, renowned speakers, top chefs and winemakers, and much, much more -- all in a setting of breathtaking natural beauty. We're talking about fun in the sun and dancing under the stars. Hiking on peaceful trails and gettin' your down dog on at the top of the mountain. Sipping poolside cocktails with your friends, and then enjoying a tasty farm-to-table dinner with views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Early morning meditations and all-night chakra spinning musical performances - it's an all-out ecstatic celebration in the most awesome locations in the world.
This year, Wanderlust coincides with the 4th of July, inspiring us to add even more to the celebration – the celebration of our families, our kids, and our country!
The Wanderlust Wanderkind Kids Program is the number one spot for kids ages 4-10 to have a safe and exceptionally cool Wanderlust experience all of their own. Custom tailored to the interests of Wanderlust families, the Wanderkind kids program, is held on-site and runs daily throughout the festival. All activities, like kid's yoga, music, hula-hooping, and arts and crafts, are included in the program, as are samples from kid-friendly snack sponsors.
For a Wanderlust-spin on the traditional 4th of July parade, kids use recycled materials, including newspaper, egg cartons, and water based paints, to decorate their personal bike, skateboard or roller skates for the Primp My Ride Kid Powered Parade. After the decorating party, participants will ride their newly decorated 'vehicles' in a parade throughout the Village led by the Copper Fire Department.
The family festival will also include juggling and hula hoop making workshops, all of Copper's regular summer activities from mini-golf and go karts to the climbing wall and Alpine Rush Zip Line, face painting, fire dancers and a brilliant fireworks display over West Lake.
